Gifukai redistributes short anime reaction clips and GIFs sourced from third-party works. We respect the rights of content owners and will act on valid takedown requests.
If you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act on their behalf) and believe that content available through the gifukai.com website or the Gifukai API infringes your rights, please send us a takedown notice.
How to Submit a Takedown Notice
Section titled “How to Submit a Takedown Notice”Email dmca@gifukai.com with the subject line “Takedown Request” and include:
- Identification of the work — the anime, series, or specific media you own or represent.
- Identification of the material — the specific GIF URL(s)
(e.g.
https://cdn.gifukai.com/...) or API response(s) you want removed. - Your contact information — name, email, and your relationship to the rights holder.
- A good-faith statement that you believe the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your signature (physical or electronic).
What Happens Next
Section titled “What Happens Next”- We aim to review valid notices and remove or disable access to the identified content promptly, typically within a few business days.
- Because the public API serves random GIFs, removed content is taken out of rotation so it is no longer returned.
- We may retain a record of the notice for our own legal compliance.
Counter-Notice
Section titled “Counter-Notice”If you believe content was removed in error, you may reply to our notice with an explanation and the basis for restoring it, and we will review it in good faith.
